Scottish Equitable to ask me if I have a policy w. . have [scottish equitable] [aegon]

Had a good letter out of Aegon/ Scottish Equitable stating:
' our files show that you may have a plan with us. '

and asking me for particular details, is this genuine? Reply: Ask Scot Eq on the main serviceline number which you can get from their website.
